Habitat: Saxicolous on the north-facing cliffs, exposed to full sunlight, surrounded by pasture within an area of dense fores, forming a dense populations, 1345-1370 m. Elev.
Etymology: The specific epithet refers to one of the most expressive massifs in southeastern Brazil, the Mantiqueira mountain range
Phenology: Flowering in August.
