Distribution: Guatemala

Habitat: Epiphyte in mesophyllous montane or sub-montane forests, 1517 - 1560 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the place where this plant lives, the majestic southern slopes of the Atitlán Volcano in Suchitepéquez, Guatemala.
