Type: BRAZIL. Rio de Janeiro: Mun. Macae, Serra do Segredo, afloramento rochoso as margens da BR-101, ca. de 1 km a nordeste da Pousada Caipira da Serra, 22 °22'I4.69"S, 4I057'08.94"W, ca. 140 m elev., 22 Jan 2020, L.M. Versieux & P.l.V. Nahoum 900 (holotype: UFRN; isotypes: RB, SEL).

Distribution: BRAZIL: Rio de Janeiro

Habitat: Rupicolous, forming dense heliophilous populations on patches of nearly vertical exposed granite rock in the Atlantic forest, ca. 140 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet chosen is a reference to the gracile and delicate shape of the flowering branches, bearing 18-20 flowers, as well as the whole inflorescence, which is slender and delicate, contrasting with the dense and bulky rosette.

Phenology: Flowering from January to February.
