Type: BRAZIL. Espírito Santo: Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Pedra da Andorinha, epilithic on vertical rock face (90°), 20°46′21”S, 41°21′14”W, 280 m elevation, 5 August 2013, D. R. Couto 2330 & V. C. Manhães (holotype R).

Distribution: BRAZIL: Espírito Santo

Habitat: Saxicolous on bare and vertical granitic slopes of inselbergs, 120-380 m. Elev. img

Etymology: The epithet of this new species alludes to the resemblance between its leaves and those of Agave attenuata Salm-Dyck (1834: 303, Asparagaceae), which are green and covered by a thick layer of white epicuticular wax too.

Phenology: Flowering specimens were found between August and October.
