Distribution: Mexico: Hidalgo, Querétaro

Habitat: it grows on rocky cliffs and vertical walls, 650–1327 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the Mexican state of Hidalgo, where most of its populations are located

Phenology: Plants can be found blooming from March to June. Fruiting specimens have been collected March–May.
