Distribution: Brazil: Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul

Habitat: epiphytic or terrestrial in restingas and lower montane and montane forests

Etymology: The epithet “rubroviridis” refers to the green to pale-red blurred peduncle and rachis, and the base of the peduncle bracts, primary bracts, and floral bracts.

Phenology: blooms from January to March and fruits year-round
