Distribution: BRAZIL; Sao Paulo,

Habitat: It was collected on the upper part of a fallen tree trunk in Atlantic slope forest, high in the Serra de Ubatuba, ca. 1 ,000 m. Elev.

Etymology: The name proposed for this species reflects its known range, today restricted to the state of Sao Paulo. To the term paulista (=born in sao Paulo state) is added the Latin suffix anus, a, um (=belonging to a certain place), resulting in the epithet chosen for W. paulistana.
