Distribution: COSTA RICA; PANAMA;

Habitat: premontane rain forest life zone and possibly extending into the premontane basal belt transition of the tropical wet forest life zone., 700-1600 m. Elev.

Phenology: Although flowering specimens have been collected only during August, this species probably flowers throughout the late dry season and early rainy season (June-September).
