Distribution: BRAZIL. Bahia

Habitat: rupicolous species forming dense groups of individuals on vertical, granitic rock walls surrounded by small and disturbed fragments of Atlantic Forest, ca 290 m. Elev.

Etymology: The name chosen for this new species honors one of its collectors, the bromeliad and orchid grower Tatiana Takahashi, from Bahia, who brought to our attention this unusual species and provided the specimens used in this study
