Distribution: MEXICO: CHIAPAS

Habitat: Epiphyte in tropical subdeciduous Quercus forest, ca 980 m. Elev.

Etymology: From the greek -οειδής- ‘oides’ (resembled to), in this case due to the elongated shape of the rosettes, similar to the plants of Yucca guatemalensis (Asparagaceae)
