Habitat: growing solitary as epiphyte or terrestrial in the bush vegetation, 2000 - 3010 m. Elev. img

Etymology: Named in honor of Renate Gouda-Verwer (1962-), Eric´s wife. Renate has a degree in horticulture and young child education. She worked many years at improving the climate of large office buildings by creating internal plant gardens and introducing biological pest control. Some of the buildings were more like botanic gardens than office buildings, and attracted a lot of interest from all over the world.
