Distribution: PERU; Apurimac, Rio Pachachaca, near the bridge between Abancay and Andahuaylas, So far, T. kirschnekii is known only from the type locality.

Habitat: On rockwalls, 2500 m. Elev.

Etymology: named after E. Kirschnek who discovered the plant
