Distribution: BRAZIL: Espírito Santo

Habitat: growing epilithic, heliophytic, living on bare, nearly vertical rock walls of a granitic inselberg forming small groups, 380-950 m. Elev. img

Etymology: The epithet “vinosus” refers to characteristics and color of its floral bracts and sepals with shades of vinaceous color at anthesis.

Phenology: Flowers in February (in cultivation), collected with fruits in April (in situ).
