Distribution: BRAZIL: Estado Minas Gerais

Habitat: epiphyte in the lower parts of the tree trunks and on branches of mountain forest, and probably on the forest floor in the higher parts of the mountain, 1000-1720 m. Elev.

Etymology: This new species is named after Prof. Dr. Georg Zizka from Frankfurt am Main, Senckenberg Institute, Germany.

Phenology: Quesnelia georgiizizkae blooms from August to November.
