Distribution: COLOMBIA: Boyacá, Cundinamarca

Habitat: terrestrial or rupicolous, primarily in xerophytic sites with steep slopes, along roadsides, and in disturbed areas, 2600 - 3050 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the region of Colombia where this species grows, known as the Cundiboyacense Plateau.
