Type: Bolivia Departamento Santa Cruz: Province Florida, private property "Los Volcanes", on the border of the Amboro National Park, about 63040'W, 18005' S, ca. 1,000 m a.s.l. On the border of a small river with inflorescences hanging free above the water, associated with Sobralia sp. (Orchidaceae); the surrounding forest is humid and evergreen and rather intact. 31 December 1997, Pierre & Claudia Ibisch No. 97.097 (holotype LPB).
