Habitat: epiphytic or terrestrial in altitudinal transition areas between Caatinga and Atlantic Forest, preferring high insolation, but also growing near shrubs and trees, 750-765 m. Elev.
Phenology: The blooming season is between January and April, during the rainy season. The herborized collections indicate that some plants may also bloom between July and September.
