Zamudio 2923 (Holotype; fruits/♂flowers MO; Isotypes; ♂ flowers XAL; fruits (2 sheets) IEB; ♂ flowers QMEX).

Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the white indumentum that covers the foliar leaves.

Phenology: Flowering occurs at the beginning of the rainy season, from June to July.
