Martínez-Correa, A. Espejo, A. R. López-Ferrari & J. García-Cruz 37 (holotype: UAMIZ, staminate plant; isotypes: CICY, IEB, MEXU).

Distribution: MEXICO: Morelos

Habitat: It grows exposed to the sun in the crevices of basaltic rocks of the Chichinautzin volcano, in a xerophilous scrub, 2000-2480 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet makes reference to the Chichinautzin volcano, the locality in which the new species is endemic.

Phenology: In flower from March to July and in fruit beginning in August.
