Distribution: MEXICO: Jalisco

Habitat: Terrestrial in ravines on volcanic sandstone, limestone, and gypsum outcrops, 500–1200 m. Elev. img

Etymology: The specific epithet honors Pablo Carrillo-Reyes, a researcher at the Universidad de Guadalajara, in recognition of his extraordinary contribution to the study of the flora of Jalisco and his remarkable work in the training of the new generation of taxonomists in the country.

Phenology: Flowering plants have been collected in January, March, June, and September; fruiting specimens from October to January and from May to July, since the fruits have a longer duration on the plants. The fructification occurs immediately after blooming.
