Distribution: COLOMBIA; Vaupes,

Habitat: epiphyte in primary, humid and relatively low forests, Ca 200 m. Elev.

Etymology: The name refers to the floral bracts of G. longibracteata that are much longer than similar species. Because of this characteristic they well exceed the sepals.
