Etymology: The Latin epithet “josinoi-narcisae” honors brother and sister, Dr. Josino Carvalho Cordeiro and Maria Narcisa de Abreu Cordeiro Pires. It is also a homage for their tireless efforts to preserve the small habitats of cacti and bromeliads occurring in their rural properties for decades.

Phenology: In habitat full anthesis from February to April.
