Habitat: rupicolous in the igneous rocky soil vegetation, ca. 1100 m. Elev.
Etymology: The specific epithet refers to the leaf apex which is inflexed in the young leaves (Fig. 2).
Phenology: Dyckia inflexifolia flowers in June–August. In cultivation at the Bromeliaceae Research and Conservation Unit (UPCB-UFV), the trochilid.
