Habitat: Rupicolous in rock crevices in the cliffs of limestone outcrops, shaded by deciduous forest in Cerrado domain, 450-490 m. Elev.
Etymology: Etymology: The specific epithet calcicola refers to the rocky limestone outcrops with which this species is associated.
Phenology: It was collected in flower in December, during the wet season.
