Taxonomic Change:
- This paper is against the mainstream of the development of the taxonomy on Bromeliaceae because it is neither contributing to solve problems nor providing an easier understanding of the genera boundaries. On the contrary, it is complicating a group of genera so far without any substantial morphological problem to distinguish one from the others. If the authors combined morphological data, it is clear they adopted a superficial approach of the morphology of the group. Important characters are completely neglected.
