Taxonomic Change:
- Considered a synonym of Billbergia quintutiana Wittmack (not Billbergia saundersii Bull, listed in his Dictionary) (Nicholoson 1900)
- The description given by Hogg is not really a description, only that it is the plant from Saunders from Bahia (like we knew for saundersii [with a few characteristics and maybe a misinterpretation about bands]) and I doubt that there were two Billbergias from Bahia from Saunders.
For this it seems to be likely that saundersiana and saundersii are homonyms
