Taxonomic Change:
- Based on Guzmania fragrans that is cited as a synonym of Hohenbergia ferruginea Carrière (Revue Horticole 53: 437. f. 104 (1881))
- Mabberley says 'clonotype' Belg. Hort. 29 (1879) t.13 (=Edmundoa/Canistrum), but this is highly unlikely, not fitting the description. —See Mabberley 1990 p. 271
