- Must be considered a homotypic synonym of Pitcairnia moritziana C.Koch & C.D.Bouché, both sheets at B (seen by Koch) and K (seen by Baker) has the same collection number Moritz 1232, although not mentioned in the protolog by Koch. —See Gouda et al. 2023-
