Taxonomic Change:
- Neotype designated: Loddiges Hort. in Lindley s.n. (CGE), see Turner 2016 —See Smith & Downs 1979 p. 1981
- Smith & Downs (1979: 1981) typified the Loddiges name to a specimen in the University of Cambridge Herbarium that came from Lindley’s collection. The only specimen that fits these criteria actually came from the garden of the Horticultural Society, not Loddiges nursery. The specimen is therefore effectively a neotype, but the Loddiges plate represents original material and is here designated as the lectotype. —See Turner 2016 p. 1146
