Type: Irwin, Egler & Westra 47527 (holotype, NY), in shade, forest swamp, wet clay soil, immediately east of Colonia Agricola de Oiapoque, 3° 43' N, 51º 55' W, about 4 km north of mouth of Cricu River, Amapa, Brazil, 14 Aug 1960.
