Taxonomic Change:
- One of the three species included in the original publication of the genus, has a brief diagnostic description: "foliis eiongato-ianceolatis acuminatis undulatis serratis supra nudis viridibus subtus lepidotis glaucis" that easily fits almost all species in subgenus Cryptanthus.
