Taxonomic Change:
- Tillandsia plicatifolia Ule is considered a synonym Racinaea undulifolia (Mez) H. Luther (syn. nov.), not to Racinaea crispa (Baker) L.B.Sm. & Spencer (See Smith & Downs 1977), it has a narrow elongated bulbous rosette and compound inflorescence. (personal communication with EG)

- Comb. nov. for Tillandsia undulofolia Mez in Racinaea, but Tillandsia plicatifolia Ule is not mentioned. —See Luther 1994b p. 329
