Habitat: the species occurs on vertical rocky faces, in general at more than 30m high, at the edge of rivers and waterfalls, in humid and shaded places, often at points where waters drain from the mountain. The substratum is shallow and formed mainly from entangled roots. —SeeWanderley et al. 2006
