• in Binomials wrongly as Lapa duartei
• The species is known from relatively few records, all of them from areas of transitional vegetation between semideciduous seasonal forest and campo rupestre in the Serra do Cipó area. At present two populations are known from Conceição do Mato Dentro County growing on humid quartzitic rock outcrops near semideciduous seasonal forest at 646 m altitude. —See Syst. Bot.
