OBSERVATIONS. The habitat of this new species is a reduced strip of land along the Pastaza River, between Banos and Puyo. P. goudae is found growing terrestrially or as a rock dweller on the vertical walls surrounding the river. Its inflorescence forms a long stem, which, because of its weight, is curved downward. The pendent leaves, including the subpetioles, are 169 cm in length. —SeeManzanares 2005
