This new species also has a paratype, found in the county of Orellana, which has an inflorescence completely glabrous, contrary to the type covered with grey indument. It is necessary to point out that the type was in the middle of process of opening its flowers while the paratype was in fruit with purple berries. The indumento possibly allows a protection of the inflorescence during flowering, reducing the possibility of damage by excess water or being eaten by insects.
