Tillandsia patriae var. laxiflora Rauh

Taxonomic Change:

• What Rauh described as Tillandsia patriae var. laxiflora is actually a Female specimen of Catopsis minimiflora Matuda. The Holotype consist of 3 sheets of which accessions 607744 and 607745 are Male specimen (similar to the holotype of Tillandsia patriae var. patriae) and only accession 607746 is a Female specimen as depicted and described in the protolog. This last sheet is designated the Lectotype here. (personal communication with E.J. Gouda)
