Examining the isotype at US, it could be that the inflorescence is mounted (dried) upright in stead of pendulous. This could be seen from the curving peduncle in the specimen. But locals did found the plant (Luis Carlos and Sergio Gurken in J Brom Soc 29(2): 77-79. 1979) although they did not mention the inflorescence was erect. (EG: not yet published)
