DISTRIBUTION & HABITAT
The only information available as to the wild origin of this variety is that it comes from the Picarras region in Santa Catarina, where there was a small terrestrial population in the Atlantic forest near sea level. This clone with yellowish lines on its leaves is still cultivated today.
