Nidularium linehamii was collected in Caraca Natural Park in Minas Gerais The dominant vegetation in this area is campo rupestre, in the Cerrado Domain, with gallery forests along rivers and streams. There were 20 or more plants growing in a rather dense population nucleus. This saxicolous species covered the rocks at the edge of the gallery forest, some 1,300 m above sea level.
