• Also epiphytic in a humid mist-forest at an altitude of about 1800 m, near Altaquer, Dept. Narino, in the southern part of Colombia.
  
  The plant is also cultivated in the Botanical Garden of the University of Heidelberg under the number 52043, collected in the same region of Colombia by F . Gruber, Fusagasuga, Colombia. —See J. Bromeliad Soc.
