• Endemic.
  The label on the holotype of Navia pauciflora (Maguire & Maguire 29154, US) gives the locality as Cerro Marahuaka, but a more complete and probably more reliable label on the NY isotype indicates that the plant was collected on Cerro Duida. —See Steyermark, Holst et al. 1989
