Pitcairnia werckleana Mez
Taxonomic Change:
- Considered a synonym of Pitcairnia brittoniana Mez —See Smith & Downs 1974 p. 383
- Based on the sepal length and possibly on the petal color (orange for Costa Rica and yellow in the Andes), this species is kept as a separate species, but more study is needed. —See Gouda et al. 2018-2022
