Abstract:—Dr. Lyman Bradford Smith was the most important specialist of Bromeliaceae, and much of the current knowledge of Mexican Bromeliaceae is unquestionably indebted to him. We present a detailed list of the new taxa and new combinations proposed by Dr. Smith based on Mexican plants, and a list of his publications dealing with Mexican Bromeliaceae
