Abstract:—A new species of Tillandsia is described from Ecuador. The new species was discovered in cultivation at Ecuagenera, originating from collections made in the Cañar Province. The new species is morphologically similar to Tillandsia walteri Mez, but differs in the characteristics of the inflorescence. Here, the new species is formally described and illustrated for the first time.
