Abstract:—Two new species of Tillandsia (subg. Tillandsia) from Ecuador are described and illustrated. Tillandsia viridispica from the province of Cañar in southern Ecuador is related to Tillandsia fosteri Gilmartin, and Tillandsia freirei from the province of Azuay in southern Ecuador is related to Tillandsia lymanii Rauh. Distinguishing characteristics between these species are provided. One related Tillandsia species, T. fosteri, previously placed in synonymy of T. demissa, is resurrected and distinguishing characteristics are provided
