Abstract:—The author describes and illustrates Quesnelia georgiizizkae, a new bromeliad species from the Atlantic Forest of Minas Gerais state, Brazil. The new species is morphologically related to Q. seideliana, being distinguished from it mainly by the size of the inflorescence, shape, size, and colour of the acuminate floral bracts, and size of the flowers and petals.
