German title:—Kultur der „Kühlen Grünen“: Die kühl zu kultivierenden grünen Trichtertillandsien
Abstract:—‘It‘s only with the age that everyone gets the hang of the funnel’, this is what I used to say in younger ages. At that time I focused on the grey tillandsias and only casually paid attention to the green funnel-shaped tillandsias, maybe even disregarded them. But at some point I was tempted to try out some ‘funnels’. And what is the end of the story? I am still a fan of the Greys, but the Greens now also have a permanent place in my collection. And I would almost like to say that after a lot of experiments, cultivation is now almost as easy for me as cultivating a Tillandsia albida Mez & Purpus. But it has cost me a lot of time and many a plant the life. Therefore, in this article I would like to share my experiences with the cultivation of the Cool Greens, as I often call the green funnel-shaped tillandsias that need to be cultivated in cool conditions.
