Bromeliaceae epífitas de uma Área de Conservação da Amazônia brasileira

Abstract:—This study presents the taxonomic treatment of the epiphytic Bromeliaceae from Caxiuanã National Forest (FLONA), situated 400 km far from Belém, in the municipalities of Melgaço and Portel, state of Pará. The collections of fertile material were randomized and accomplished between April 2009 and November 2010. In the FLONA of Caxiuanã, Bromeliaceae is represented by five species, Aechmea bromeliifolia, A. mertensii, Araeococcus micranthus, Guzmania lingulata, and Tillandsia bulbosa, which are distributed in four genera and two subfamilies. Key for species, short descriptions, phenological and habitat observation, geographic distribution and taxonomic comments on the species are presented.
