Abstract:—A question from the German Bromeliad Society turned the author’s attention to the type gathering of Tillandsia pseudomicans Rauh (Rauh 1974). The record in the database of the ‘Werner Rauh Heritage Project (WRHP)’ (Koch et al. 2013) had already in August 2012 received the ‘green’ status, i. e. all available sources had been evaluated and the information gained had been stored in the database. In the meantime however in addition to the already scanned field books with numerical notations, Rauh’s diaries, with detailed notes on each day’s events and often even detailed descriptions of potential new taxa, were also scanned and put on the internet. Besides that, all the black and white negatives and paper prints from the Rauh estate have been available in Heidelberg since June 2016. For that reason this data entry was subjected to a review, which revealed that not only the details on the location entered in the WRHP-database were not completely correct, but also the type locality which Rauh names in the protolog is incorrect. In addition it became clear that Rauh cites an incorrect gathering date. This is just another
